Beginner Ballet

This is a beginner course to classical ballet technique for students with some previous ballet training.

Students will learn the fundamentals of ballet, following the traditional structure of a ballet class with more emphasis on body posture and barre work. Through the use of barre exercises, center work and structured choreography, students will explore body alignment, strength, flexibility, and anatomical awareness of the dancer’s body to enhance understanding of movement. Center work is composed of port de bras and simple adagio, preparation for turns, preparation for waltzes, fundamental petit allegro and reverence.
